Little Ones Gift Exchange

We had a little get-together at the Cornett's house a few weeks ago to let the little ones exchange gifts.  This is the fourth year that we've done it.  The kids get so excited to give gifts to their friends and receive one back too!!  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  We had a great night.  We are so fortunate to have such an awesome group of friends!!

Wishing You All....

I'm very behind on my blogging.  We've had a busy week, gift exchanges, dinners with friends, brunch with Matt's family, Christmas parties, preschool performances.... busy, busy!!  But for now, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!  I hope you take time to relax and enjoy the magic of this holiday!

Let It Snow!!

Yesterday afternoon, we had a quick moving storm roll through our area.  It was full of rain, thunder, and lightning.  At my in-laws house, just 5 miles away, it also snowed!!  We live in southern California...where it does not snow!!  We were so excited, so I quickly grabbed some snow gear and headed over to play.

We were shocked to see just how much snow had fallen a few hours before.  The kids had SO much fun.
They built a snowman with Grandpa, made snow angels, had a snowball fight and couldn't resist tasting the snow.  What a way to spend the afternoon!!!!

Breakfast with Santa

Last weekend we went with Matt's family to their country club for a breakfast with Santa.  The kids were able to sit on Santa's lap and tell them what they wanted for Christmas.  Mackenzi asked for a big girl bike with no training wheels.  Jace & Quinn both asked for a Lightning McQueen remote controller (aka: remote control car).
The kids' cousin Madison jumped in for a group shot with Santa.  Happy girl!!
After visiting with Santa, we enjoyed a yummy waffle breakfast with sausage, bacon, fresh berries, and whipped cream.  The kids ate...and ate...and ate.

After breakfast, the put on a puppet show.  Mackenzi loved it.  The two puppeteers were so skilled.  The puppets were dancing, singing, and moving to classic Christmas songs.
What a fun way to spend the morning.  Thanks Rick & Wendy!!

Flashback Friday

Our Sweet Baby Girl.
Our first born.
She's looking more and more like a big girl everyday.
Still, such a sweet girl.

december 2006-6 months old

It's amazing that in just 10 more weeks she will have a little sister.
She's thrilled.
She kisses Baby Sister every night before bed and talks to her.
She tells her to "stop moving so Mommy can sleep"
and to "stay warm in there 'cause it's cold outside".
She wants to find a shirt or bib that says "I love my big sister".
See, I told you she was sweet.

I'm hoping that this sweet big sister adjusts quickly to having a baby in the house again.
She already loves her so much!!

My sweet girl...I'm so lucky she's mine.

Melt.My.Heart.

A few days ago, Mackenzi gave me an envelope.  It said, "To Mommy...Love, Mackenzi...Do not open until tomorrow".  The next morning, she gave it to me again and said it was time to open it.  What a special note it was.  In her cute little writing, she wrote...

"Mommy I dot love Crismus as much as I love you.  Love, Mackenzi"

and on the back she drew a picture of me and her opening Christmas presents and wrote...

"But the best thing uf all is you.  Hope you git this tomaro.  I love you Mommy.  The end."

Seriously!?!

Isn't that the sweetest note ever?!?!
Melt.My.Heart.
I love this sweet girl of mine.

All Aboard!!!

My parents planned a wonderful day for their grand kids last Saturday.  Unfortunately last minute my brother couldn't make it!  We started off at my parents house for lunch. My mom then surprised the kids with clues to where we were going...matching Christmas P.J.s, a bell, and two chocolate chip cookies.  Mackenzi guessed it,  we were off to take a trip on the Polar.Express!!  The kids were THRILLED!!!

When we got there, they played on some stationary trains, we got a few photos in and then we boarded the train!!

Once aboard, we received chocolate milk, a sugar cookie, and a special jingle bell from Santa.  We headed towards the North Pole with our tickets in hand.

The conductor came around and punched our ticket!!  My kids are HUGE fans of the movie, so this was just like heaven to them!!
After we went to the North Pole, Santa came on our train to give us one more treat...a candy cane!!
The whole way back to the train station, we sang Christmas carols.  Jace even got to sing Jingle Bells on the microphone!!!  What a wonderful experience this was for the kids!! They were so excited and had such a good time!!

Thank you Nana and Boppa!!
We love you so very much.
You guys are awesome

The Cutest Preschoolers Around!

We finally received the boys' preschool pictures today.  I am so happy with them.  They smiled so good!!  They've seriously got to be the cutest preschoolers around!!
Jace {3.5 years}

Quinn {3.5 years}
They have adjusted well to school.  They each have a favorite friend that they love to play with (Noah & Carter).  Unfortunately Quinn's friend, Carter, moved to the MWF class.  Quinn is bummed that he doesn't get to see him anymore, but I'm sure he will find a new favorite friend soon.  If all else fails, he has his big brother there to play with!   Jace still gets weepy once and awhile at drop off, but after a few moments, he is just fine.  They are learning their letters and numbers.  They've already learned so much!!!
