Rogina Christmas
Yesterday, we went out to Gpa and Gma Rogina's house in Thousand Palms for one last Christmas party with the Rogina family. Matt's Aunt Suzie and Uncle Dave were there from Kansas to celebrate Christmas and Gpa Joe's birthday. We had a great time catching up with each other, visiting and enjoying the fire. Mackenzi was in a world of her own playing with her barbies, little puppy (stuffed animal), and computer. The boys were busy running wild, playing with their Thomas trains, and cars. It was so nice that all of us could be together {minus Jeff (Matt's brother) and Justin (Matt's Cousin) who were visiting their in-laws and Ryan (who is in Africa on a mission)}. It was the first time Dave & Suzie's kids had met Jace & Quinn and the 2nd time meeting Mackenzi.

Christmas Day
We had a wonderful (busy) Christmas Day. Matt and I woke up very early to take showers and get dressed before the Christmas rush. Little did we know that we would be waiting and waiting and waiting for our kids to wake up (they're usually up by 6:30 or 7am). We finally woke them up a little after 7:00. They were so excited to see that Santa had come to our house. He filled our stockings to the brim. He even had to put them on the floor because they were too heavy to hang on the fireplace!!!
Mackenzi got her Barbie Computer (to check things like mommy).
The boys got an alligator see-saw and a t-ball set. Daddy was very excited to show the boys how to hold a bat and hit the ball. I'm sure this bat is going to do some damage in the future. That's okay though!!
Mackenzi was very eager to open presents. She loved everything that she got and was busy playing as soon as she was done opening the gifts. Jace loved opening and playing with the presents. Quinn didn't care about opening the gifts. He was much happier playing with them. Mommy, Daddy, and Jace had to help him open his gifts because he didn't want to do it. Silly boy! Kelli (Matt's Mom) and his brothers Daniel, Jeff, & Kara came over very early for more gifts and a pancake breakfast. Kara was a huge help with the pancakes (Thanks Kara!!). We had pancakes, sausage, bacon, and mimosas!!! 
After breakfast, we headed over to Matt's dad and step mom's house (Rick and Wendy). There the kids were spoiled even more with lots and lots of gifts from the grandparents and great grandparents. The popular gifts of the day....Mackenzi's piano and the boys choo-choo trains! They've been playing with them non-stop since Christmas!! We relaxed for a while then headed over to Lisa & Dean's house (Wendy's sister) for Christmas Dinner. It was so nice to visit with all the family. This was the first Christmas (and Christmas Eve) that we saw ALL of our family. Even though it was busy, it was a lot of fun!! Spending time with family is the best gift of all!!!

Christmas Eve
We had an action packed Christmas Eve!! It started with Matt and Mackenzi getting a much needed haircut (Mackenzi had 3 1/2 inches cut from her golden locks). As soon as they were back, Matt loaded the kids up to visit his parents work. They have a family pot-luck every year and everyone wanted to visit with the kids! While they were visiting, I went to my sister's house to help my mom prepare for Christmas eve dinner. After nap time, we dressed the kids and headed to Christmas Eve Mass with Matt's family. The kids looked adorable (which is the total opposite from the way they acted in church! AHHHH). 
After church, we zoomed on over to Dana's house. We always spend Christmas Eve with my family. It has been at my mom's house since my Grammy passed away, but this year it was at my sister's. We had a lot of people coming to celebrate with us and her house is the biggest of all of ours. Her house was decorated beautifully! We had a delicious dinner, had a wonderful time visiting and acting silly, and an even better time playing with cousins!!!
The kids waited patiently for the time to finally open presents. They were all so excited to see their gifts. This was the first year that we did a gift exchange for adults and one for the kids. It was much better than getting SO many gifts from everyone. Simple and fun!!!
When we got home, we made sure to sprinkle oats & glitter out on the front lawn. The glitter helps the reindeer see our house when it reflects off of the moon. The oats are for the reindeer to snack on. They do get very tired from flying all night, you know!! Then we made sure we left Santa a HUGE mug of milk, a chocolate chip cookie, and a sugar cookie to snack on!! THEY WERE DELICIOUS...ahem.... or so I'm told!!

Girls Day
Yesterday, Matt took the boys on a long bike ride for a little bonding time. Since Mackenzi and I were home alone we decided to spend some quality time together too! I thought we should go finish up some Christmas shopping and get some lunch, but she had other plans. When I asked her what she wanted to do, she said "How 'bout we get some Taco Bell and go to the park and have a picnic and play?!?". So that's exactly what we did!! It's always lots of fun to hang out with this girl!!!
Food, Friends, & Fun
On Saturday, we joined a few of our friends and went over to the Fleming's house for dinner and a little gift exchange for the kids. It's always fun to hang out with good friends, good food, and adorable kids!! We had a wonderful time!!

After the gift exchange and a little play time, the parents put the kids to bed and played some games. We played Catch Phrase & LCR! Dusty was the big winner!
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful gifts! My kids LOVE all of them. They've been playing with their new toys all weekend and thank you Melissa & Eric for hosting the party! It was a blast!!!
