Celebrating

To celebrate the start of summer break, we had a little water balloon fight.  The kids had never had one before and they loved it.  I now know that I need way more than one pack of balloons to please these kids...they go through one package WAY too fast!

Two Girls

These two girls, Hurley & Bentley, LOVE to be outside.  Bentley has really taken a liking to Hurley lately (or "hur-wee" as she calls her).  Good thing it's summer-time, we'll be spending a lot of time in our backyard.

Disney Dazzle Performance

 Mackenzi participated in the school's Spring Chorus.  She had practice every Tuesday after school until 4 p.m.  She absolutely loved it.  Their performance was called Disney Dazzle.  They performed many songs from our favorite Disney movies.  They were supposed to dress as a character from a song that they were singing.  Kenzi dressed as Jessie and she looked adorable.  She can't wait until chorus next year.  Her only hope is that she gets a solo! :)

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Mackenzi's first grade class had a end of the year performance called "How Does Your Garden Grow?".  It was absolutely adorable.  They all made matching shirts in class.  My favorite part was when they turned their hats around and turned into weeds and put on some shades.  They rapped...and it was adorable.  Mackenzi did so well and looked so happy doing it.

A Journey to China

 We visited the boys' preschool in May for Open House.  Their theme was a Journey to China.  Their teachers work so hard all year long, but especially at open house time.  As always, Mrs. Knight & Mrs. Airth (the best pre-k teachers EVER) did an outstanding job.  The classroom looked amazing.  The boys were so proud to show us around and show off their hard work.

Our Star

Mackenzi had to dress up for career day at her school.  I sat down with her brainstorming ideas of what she could dress up as (and costumes on hand)...and she quickly dismissed all my ideas.  She informed me that she already knew what she wanted to be when she grows up...a pop-star!  Unfortunately, we didn't have any type of wardrobe that a pop-star would wear (at least she didn't think so).  Luckily, I talked her into being a Country Star instead.... you know, like her fav T.Swift!!

She was beaming with pride dressed up in her boots, curled hair, and ear-piece microphone.  

This ensemble is so fitting for this girl who is always belting out a tune in her best singing voice!
